ecause there hasn't been many updates lately, Craka_J worked on Valley of Trials this weekend and uploaded two Work In Progress screenshots. When posted on Mod DB, it caused the mod to jump from rank 300, to rank 4 most popular mod out of 11,071 mods - a huge leap for us. Wc3:WoW also received 20 new Watchers on Mod DB as well (total of 219 Watchers). Wc3:WoW hasn't had this much attention or activity in months! And now with so many attracted, it has given the Wc3:WoW Team motivation to work even harder and has promised to release more news updates and screenshots sometime this week and weekend.

c3:WoW won the Hosted Project of the Year 2008 contest award at The Hive Workshop today for being a unique, beautiful, and great mod for WarCraft III. Although the mod received the award two years late, it's safe to say 'better late than never!'

fter months of work, Yixx has finally fixed the Wc3:WoW campaign version 2.0 to be compatible with WarCraft III's 1.24c patch. This is a slight victory for us because now we no longer have to worry about the World Editor crashing because of the large changes made in the 1.24 patch. This means we can get back to working on the terrain and triggers for the mod. Be sure to check back in a week for some nice updates and possibly a couple screenshots of the progress with the terrain as well.

his evening, the Wc3:WoW Team released the HDR & Bloom add-on for WarCraft III. You can download it at our Downloads page. A readme is included, which instructs how to install the HDR & Bloom, how to use it in-game, and how to remove it.

oday, Craka_J made an announcement covering terrain and trigger process, as well as the new plan of starting pre-made Player-Bots which is expected to be a huge task to complete but will benefit the mod's development in the long-run. nfortunately, there hasn't been much terrain progress due to Craka_J being overwhelmed with schoolwork. However, he still maintains the team and community as much as he can and is hoping to get to work on the terrain this weekend. Cross your fingers. Also, Yixx, the team's dedicated vJASS Expert, has been working relentlessly on making names float above Player-Bots, mobs, and NPCs. He's also working on a respawn system for mobs, where they will fade into the game as they do in World of Warcraft. Lastly, the team has agreed to take a new approach at how they will be creating Player-Bots which will make it much more complex, but better in the long run and easier to track each bot's information. We'll include further detailed information about this in the next news post on our Mod DB page.

wo days ago, Craka_J announced on Mod DB and Hive Workshop that he is beginning to terrain the zones in Wc3:WoW again and has recruited Yixx onto the team as a vJASS Expert to recode the mod entirely, which will make the mod once again playable and function seamlessly - or at least smoother than before. Terrain is progressing once again and there will be new screenshots coming up that will show off what Wc3:WoW looks like with the newly implemented HDR and Bloom effects.
